Making the decision to sell a much-loved home of over 17 years was a big one, then finding an agent to represent you and your home to the market place another big decision. After a short listing process of agents I chose Shane Hicks and his team and I have not had a single regret. He met with me already prepared, he already knew the details of the property, already knew the advantages of the location, had a very clear easy to follow process and contacts of service provider options for things like rubbish removal, small job trades for minor household repairs etc (what a god send that list was). Coming from a very analytical occupation and preparing for this sale over 10 months ago, I totally grilled Shane during my first meeting to see how well he knew the market in my area; what the target groups were for my property; how that would work into the marketing strategy; what he based the prospective sale value of the property on etc. His market knowledge was first class. I attended a number of open houses he held for other properties – he and his team were very professional and regardless of the type of property you have (high end modern build home or post war home like mine) he was totally professional and gave 100% to each property. Shane had a plan for every possibility during the 4-week marketing campaign and during the auction which gave me great peace of mind. My home sold under the hammer on auction day and I am just thrilled with the result and with how the auction was conducted. His team – Antonio, Michaela and Paul (auctioneer) were absolutely first class. Paul the auctioneer was brilliant, he spoke to all the advantages of this area including the aspect which made for wonderful summer get togethers on the deck without cooking in the western sun.
